It Came To Me In A Painting, Not Knowing My Voice Yet. It Was A Spiritual Awakening.

The words that changed my life forever.

The moment I remembered something said to me, “Pick up the yellow oil pastel and follow the yellow line.” There was no yellow line to follow.

My Story

Kim SImmel is a registered nurse who has taken care of the sick for 36 years. She was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 1970. She is a self-taught intuitive abstract expressionist who works in mixed - media acrylic, oil pastel and digital art.

While Kim was taking her nursing courses in college, she decided to take a watercolor class because an art course was required for her Bachelor’s degree. She had to teach herself from home with no face to face instruction. She felt very comforted by picking up a brush. Painting provided an escape from her mindful frustrations of life. She completed the class and continued on with her nursing degree while never picking up a brush again. Years later at the age of 48, Kim felt that she’d lost her purpose in life. She decided to try acrylic painting because she remembered that picking up that brush years ago gave her a great emotional release.

Kim studied for a few years online, not realizing her voice until a recent spiritual awakening that emerged through one of her paintings. Since then she understands what type of artist she is and her divine calling. In October 2021, she took the plunge and built her own art studio, which she calls her sanctuary. Kim is a painter with no proposal in mind until her intuitive soul is revealed on canvas.

Kim’s inspiration comes from meditation and connecting with the divine realm. Her artwork shows the spiritual significance of sacred geometry and color. Sacred geometry and color are what create the balance of mind, body and spirit.

Kim’s mission is to give back to the universe while comforting her audience with her abstract paintings. Kim shows no fear of bringing her art to the public. as it reminds her of hope and faith that can be seen from a higher consciousness and self-awareness while in the midst of discovering her own self.

Gratitude

Practicing mindfulness, gratitude, positive affirmations, meditation and prayer daily is of the upmost importance to me. Before I start any painting whether it is on glass, wood or canvas, beautiful intentions, visions, introspection, angel numbers, archangels and prayer are painted, drawn or written on the canvas before I pick up a brush and start. Beautiful music is played, incense is lit and I call in the divine realm. I ask for the beautiful energies with only the highest vibration, intentions and the highest light to come work with me and through me. As my skin starts to prickle and I feel the tingling energies come through my crown chakra. I let my third eye and intuition take control.

I believe in my magic! I love and believe in myself!! We are all magical in this magical universe!! Rock on my Starseeds!!!!
