12” x 12” acrylic abstract painting on cradled wood. In hindsight I was going through a period of the dark night of the soul before my spiritual awakening struck me. I remember tapping my finger nails on this wood in the wet paint. I remember picking up my brush loosely and just letting it flow. When I looked at the painting, stating it was done I then saw what it was revealing to me. It was revealing a stethoscope in blue and a white cross. I am a nurse so I noticed it very quickly. Underneath I found a skeleton and all those fingernail tap marks I realized were souls rising. I was unaware at the time that I was going through the dark night of the soul. May this painting reveal to you as you sit back and see the souls rise that we are able to heal ourselves from hurt, pain and trauma with the guidance from the light.
